He was born on July 1, 1943 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was Executive Secretary of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences. He has a PhD. in Political Sciences from the University of Harvard in 1976. Professor of Political and Social Theory in the University of Buenos Aires and invited professor of several universities of Latin America, Europe and the United States. Author of several books about Political Theory from a marxist approach. He keeps an active collaboration with cuban institutions and has been invited several times as a lecturer to the globalization conferences which has taken place in Cuba. He is Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba since 2002. Nowadays is member in the Latin American Board of Social Sciences.
