Alberto Giráldez Dávila

He was born on January 8, 1928, in Barcelona, Spain. Graduated in Pharmacy in the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Barcelona, Spain (1951) and PhD. from the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He has worked in the Facuty of Pharmacy of the University of Santiago de Compostela and HUBBER Laboratories. Founder and Head of the Pharmacological Research Department of ANDREU Laboratories. Permanent Member of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy of Spain; Colombian Association for laboratory animal sciences; President of the Spanish Society of laboratory animal sciences (1994 – 1997); Honorary Fellow of the Spanish Association of Pharmacists; Scientific Collaborator of the Cuban Society of Pharmacology since 1995. He was Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of the Institute of Spain (1991 – 2000), Adviser to the General Direction of Pharmacy and health products; Spanish Delegate of the Working Group of medicament security in the European Economic Community (1989). He collaborates with Cuban institutions since the nineties: CENSA, CQF, CENPALAB, IFAL, CIREN, CIMEQ, CIM, CIGB amomg others. He is Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba since 2007.
