Richard Levins [1]

He is professor of Public Health in Harvard University. Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, American Society of Naturalists, International Society for Ecosystem Health, American Public Health Association, New World Agriculture and Ecology Group, Northeast Organic Farming Association, American Association of University Professors and the Cuban Society of Botany. He has been UNESCO Adviser; Professor and Scientific Collaborator in several cuban scientific institutions: Institute of Botany, Institute of Ecology, Institute of Citrus and Fruit Trees, Research Institute of Tropical Agricultura, among others. Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Havana (1999) and Researcher Collaborator of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (2001). He is Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba since 2004.
