Professor of cereals research in the Higher Council of Scientific Researches, Spain. Head of the cereals laboratory in the Institute of Agro-Chemistry and Food Technology. She has a PhD. in Chemical Sciences since 1964. President of the Spanish Association of cereal-producing technicians. She is currently professor of food technology in the University of Valency and the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. She has teached about rice subject in several countries, including Cuba, and has keeped a close link with the cuban Institute of Rice Researches. Collaborator Researcher of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba since 1992 and Invited Professor of the University of Havana since 2001. She is Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba since 2002.
