Awarding ceremony of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba
On next Saturday the Academy of Sciences of Cuba (ACC) will grant the 67 National Awards to the best scientific and technical results in 2009. These prizes are awarded since 1990 in order to recognize the researches that stand out in the country, to stimulate scientific creation, and to increase the visibility of the Cuban science as part of the national and universal heritage, as well as their contributions to the domestic socioeconomic development. The prizes will be awarded at a ceremony in the “San Ambrosio” Assembly Hall, La Cabaña.
